SERIALISATION of Vieira's autobiography begins in the News of the World on Sunday.

Pat wrote the book with French scribe Pierre Menes, formerly of L'Equipe.

Menes has known Vieira since he played for Cannes.

Menes is close to the 1998 team and legend has it that he even spoke to some of them by mobile phone at half-time in the final against Brazil.

He specialises in ingratiating himself with players, having dinner with them, and so on.

Some parts of the book are news, apparently.

The exact nature of Sunday's story is not known yet.

Maybe it gives details of an illegal approach by Manchester United.

Let's wait and see.
